Federal Transparency in Coverage Rule

The federal Transparency in Coverage Rule requires health plans and issuers to publicly disclose pricing information that consumers can access, in the future, to make informed healthcare decisions. For Plan Years beginning January 1, 2022, the Rule requires employer-sponsored group health plans to disclose information in machine-readable files on a public website, without any access restrictions, and to update the files monthly.
